Frequently Asked Questions

Partner, interoperability and assurance questions.

Concise answers to common questions about roles, licensing, evidence, pilots, assessment independence and future certification.

Partner categoriesWhat partner categories does ODA3 currently recognize?

Technology Vendors, System Integrators, Consultancy & Advisory, and Managed Service Providers. The categories describe evidence roles rather than company size or sector.

Partner categoriesCan one organization align with multiple categories?

Yes. An organization may align with multiple patterns where its service lines perform distinct roles, subject to separate competence and independence boundaries.

Partner categoriesWhat if our organization does not fit any category?

You may be evaluating direct enterprise adoption rather than a partner relationship, or your proposed role may require a separate review.

Technology vendorsDoes ODA3 provide a pre-built connector for technology vendors?

No. Initial interoperability normally begins with manual mapping because platform evidence models differ.

Technology vendorsDoes framework mapping certify a platform?

No. Mapping describes structural fit and gaps; it is not certification, compliance, approval or endorsement.

System integratorsDoes ODA3 approve individual system-integration deliverables?

Not under the standard pattern. The integrator retains delivery and quality ownership unless a separate assessment engagement is agreed.

AdvisoryCan an advisory firm use ODA3 frameworks in client work?

Internal and commercial rights differ under GEL v1.0. ODA3-branded commercial delivery and claims require appropriate authorization.

AdvisoryCan the same advisory firm design and independently assess a programme?

Not where the same function designed the work being evaluated. Functional separation is required before an evaluation can be represented as independent.

Managed servicesDoes ODA3 perform continuous monitoring or incident response?

No. The managed service provider performs those operational services; ODA3 provides applicable framework and taxonomy structures.

Managed servicesDoes AI-IRF guarantee incident containment?

No. It structures response and learning; it cannot guarantee the outcome of a specific incident.

Enterprise adoptionCan an enterprise use the frameworks without a partner?

Yes, subject to the applicable licence terms. Partner participation is not required for internal adoption.

Enterprise adoptionDoes an enterprise need all four frameworks?

No. Scope depends on the system, incident-readiness needs and whether physical or kinetic consequences are applicable.

LicensingAre the frameworks free to read?

Published framework materials are publicly accessible under the applicable publication and licensing terms.

LicensingWhen is a commercial licence required?

Commercial embedding, service delivery or other commercial use may require authorization under GEL v1.0 and a separate agreement.

Framework ownershipDoes a partner own ODA3 framework content after integration?

No. Each party retains ownership of its own intellectual property unless an agreement explicitly states otherwise.

Framework ownershipCan a partner white-label ODA3 frameworks?

Not by default. Attribution, marks and commercial-use conditions are governed by GEL v1.0 and applicable agreements.

Platform integrationDoes ODA3 require a specific platform?

No. The interoperability approach is platform-neutral.

Platform integrationCan evidence remain inside the partner platform?

Potentially. Evidence custody and access should be defined during capability mapping and the pilot.

Platform integrationDoes platform evidence automatically become assessment evidence?

No. It must be relevant, attributable, sufficient and reviewable under the applicable methodology.

AssessmentWho makes assessment decisions?

Assessment authority depends on the applicable method, competence and independence arrangements. Platform operators do not automatically gain assessment authority.

AssessmentIs ODA3 assessment methodology operational today?

Assessment methods and supporting assets are under development and validation. Current status should be confirmed for the specific engagement.

Future certificationDoes ODA3 currently hold accredited certification status?

No accredited certification status is represented on this site.

Future certificationCan partners certify their own implementations?

No. Any future certification process must preserve independence and separately governed decision authority.

Commercial engagementAre partnership fees publicly fixed?

No. Commercial terms depend on role, scope, licensing, training and delivery responsibilities.

Commercial engagementIs exclusivity required?

No exclusivity is assumed. Any proposed exclusivity would require explicit review and agreement.

PilotsWhat is the smallest recommended pilot?

One defined evidence category, project, client environment or use case with a clear completion point and agreed evaluation criteria.

PilotsIs a pilot a production commitment?

No. A pilot is a bounded diagnostic engagement intended to support a joint decision.

PilotsWhat happens if a pilot does not demonstrate alignment?

The parties may conclude the evaluation. A decision not to proceed is valid where the evidence does not support broader collaboration.

Singapore/APACIs Singapore participation required?

No. Regional collaboration may be explored where relevant, but no Singapore entity or office is required for an initial technical evaluation.

ConfidentialityIs an NDA required before the first discussion?

Not necessarily. Public frameworks and high-level capability discussion can be reviewed first; confidential information should only be exchanged under suitable terms.

SupportWhat support does ODA3 provide during a pilot?

Support is scoped to the agreed mapping, methodology questions, evidence review and findings outputs. It does not automatically include implementation or managed operations.

Intellectual propertyWho owns pilot outputs?

Ownership and permitted reuse should be stated in the pilot agreement. Each party normally retains its pre-existing intellectual property.
